  • Following the inauguration of The Hong Kong Polytechnic University in November 1994, and in accordance with Section 8A of the Hong Kong Polytechnic (Amendment) Ordinance 1994, Senate was formally established on 1 January 1995, to take over the work of the former Academic Board as the highest academic committee of the University

    The 14 Committees were established under the Senate in January 1996. These Committees will report to Senate in the formulation and implementation of policies and procedures within specific areas of responsibilities

    This booklet contains the terms of reference and composition of Senate and its committees currently in operation, as well as the associated rules and procedures governing their conduct
