  • "這個在戰前出現於灣仔道、交加街及石水渠街 (後來逐漸建立於太原街) 的露天市集, 到了今天已經有長達80年以上的歷史 。

    據一位現在仍在交加街東擺賣, 在灣仔居住了70多年的小販說, 交加街露天市集在戰前時, 主要是販賣蔬菜魚肉的。 在日本仔佔領香港三年零八個月期間, 這裡更曾一度被稱為「為食街」。 因為在日治時期, 香港人經常要捱餓, 所以有人便以食肆餘下的「餸頭餸尾」, 以「斗零」平價售賣, 因此有很多苦力到來醫肚。和平後, 這條街多數是大牌檔和賣瓜菜的小檔

    當時交加街南面尚有一段石水渠街，亦是市集一部份，靠近皇后大道東、舊灣仔街市對面則有一個臨時街市，後來九十年代土發將整條街收回，連臨時街市一起被鏟平，建成今天所見的尚翹峰，從此石水渠街斷開了兩段" -- 灣仔市集關注組(https://streetmarketconcern.wordpress.com/history/)
