The Department continues its development initiated in 1996. These include:

1) The introduction of credit-based curricula in the 1997/98 academic year for both sub-degree and degree programmes

2) The setting up of an Undergraduate Computing Laboratory to serve as a teaching laboratory and multi-media centre for the students

3) Improving teaching and learning of undergraduate subjects

4) A plan to renovate and up-grade all undergraduate laboratories in order to make them current

5) A plan to enhance the research capabilities of the Department
