  • "洪聖古廟約建於 1847 年，用來紀念庇佑漁民的神靈洪聖大王。廟宇最近一次修葺是在 1992 年，經過悉心修復，1867 年擴建的望海觀音廟內花崗石過樑終於重 現本來面貌。洪聖古廟與大王西街及大王東街街名息息相關，皆因「大王」的意 思正是洪聖大王。戰前，華人廟宇委員會已將廟宇的管理工作交予東華三院負責" -- Antiquities Advisory Board (AAB) website
