  • "將軍澳過去是人煙稀少的海灣，二十世紀初坑口先後出現造船廠、機器廠和拆船廠，人口增多，逐漸形成繁盛的墟鎮，漁村面貌消失。

    八十年代港府決定在將軍澳移山填海發展新市鎮，坑口墟被夷為平地。1988年將軍澳第一個公共屋邨寶林邨落成入伙。1990年11月9日將軍澳隧道通車，2002年8月18日港鐵將軍澳線啟用，對外交通大為方便。據2011年統計，西貢區人口約有436,627人，主要居於將軍澳。" -- 文化葫蘆網站 (https://had18.huluhk.org/)
