  • "西貢位於香港東南部，許多人會覺得奇怪，為何此區以「西」稱之。箇中原因要從明初說起，其時鄭和下西洋宣揚大明威德，促進海外經商，不少國家帶同本地特產到中國朝貢或貿易，西來的船隻北上大陸之前，停泊在今天新界東部一個漁港，久而久之該處被稱為「西貢」，有「西方來貢」的意思
