  • A very important change which the Polytechnic is anxious to introduce as soon as possible is a new basis for calculating the full-time equivalent of part-time day release student numbers. Section B17 of this Development Plan sets out the rationale for changing the 1/5 conversion factor hitherto in use to the more realistic and acceptable factor of 1/3. The calculation of 3 PTDR students=1 FTE student has been adopted by all departments in the academic departmental submissions
