The Department saw numerous achievements and changes in the past year

Chiefs among these are: a Departmental Assessment (DA) by the University, a validation visit of the FT/PT BEng program by HKIE, preparation for the implementation of the common first year in the BEng program in 2001/02, new teaching methods and curriculum development to emphasize learning outcome of students, and the formation of several research centers to reflect the appropriate research strength of the staff
