    "It was with the most profound sense of loss that we learned of the death of our Chairman, the late Mr. P. Y. Tang. which occurred on 17th June 1971, following a short illness.

    ... As a mark of respect to Mr. Tang, the Chairmanship of the Committee was left vacant and our Vice-Chairman, Dr. S. Y. Chung, drew our deliberations to a conclusion as Acting-Chairman."
